I have been pretty much glued to my television/laptop for the past 48 hours, unable to look away from the horror and sadness of what happened at Virginia Tech. I cannot even imagine what could ever drive a person to do such a thing, and my thoughts and deepest sympathies are with everyone affected by this tragedy.
Honestly, I had trouble sleeping last night because of this. I go to school at a campus which is eerily similar to that of VT, I work every day at a school that is not safe by any means, and I just can't stop thinking of what I would do if faced with a situation such as this. I just hope that I would be able to show the same strength and courage that so many of the victims and survivors from yesterday demonstrated.
